DIY: Fringe Top

I've always find fringe tops pretty nice; it somehow reminds me of Pocahontas, don't ask me why. But I never actually thought of getting one for myself. Let me show you a few pretty fringe tops.

These are nice to pull off with a simple denim shorts and gladiator sandals for a day out in a weather like Malaysia. So while I was cleaning up my closet for old clothes to be given away or sold off, I came upon this particular top and wondered if I could make a fringe top out of it. And the top isn't very expensive, so even if it end up looking like crap it's still alright haha.

Ok, so all you need is:
1. An unwanted top
2. A pair of cloth scissors
3. Ruler (Optional unless you want your fringe to be really straight)

Okay, this is my choice of top.

A pair of cloth scissors

Make measurements. We don't want to over-cut your top. Just make sure to wear the top and see how long you want your fringe to be. I've also decided to cut off the sleeves since fringe top always looks nicer being sleeveless or short sleeves.

And start snipping away. You can do it faster by cutting the front and back together, but if you're afraid of the alignment and all then you can cut the front first then the back. It is all up to you :)

Okay, end result! I am super satisfied with this :) Honestly, there was one major mistake that I did while cutting the fringe. One of the side is missing one fringe, so it looks a little bald there. But it's a fringe top! It's suppose to look a little messy and I don't think anyone would want to count or stare at those fringes that long right? And I don't think anyone can see it until I tell them so. And I'm telling it to you right now, so when you see me wearing that top please make sure you don't stare at the error haha

Paired it with denim shorts and strapped sandals from Korea!

There you go :) An old top being transformed.

Anyways, that's it for now. Will have more DIYs coming right up.

People. School. Carnival

Went to my high school carnival recently. I guess it was expected to be pathetic and all but what the heck. I was there to meet up with my old friends anyways. So I would say it wasn't too bad of a Sunday morning. Well, I'm just happy to see their faces again after 3 years being separated from our courses but it's not that I don't meet up with them once in a while like some anti-social freak. Ok, some pictures taken by Su Ann and re-edited by me :)

Some art gallery.

Me sweating while holding my lunch boohoo.

Alright, 2 carnivals in one weekend is just too much for me. I was never a carnival person in the first place. Hot weather, crowded places and not-so-nice food. Hmmm doesn't sound so appealing after all. No more carnivals for the time being. Anyways, there's this event coming up in Kuala Lumpur and I really wanted to go so badly because XiaXue is gonna be there! Like I'm a really huge fan of hers, but the passes are so expensive *cries* But just wanted to post it up anyways :)

 Date:14th July 2012 (Saturday)
Time:8.00am - 7.00pm
Venue:Concorde Hotel, Kuala Lumpur

Oh how I wish I could be there. It's a conference to learn about blogging, web-hosting and all those shizz. Alright, rushing off to work. Till next time! Toodles :)

한국

Wow, it's been more than a month since I wrote in this blog. Time really passed by so quickly. Well, I've been busy with university application, Korea trip, work and more work. But recently, I've been picking up some DIY handiwork and accessories just because it seems pretty fun and interesting. I'll post up some pictures of them once I'm done with it. For now, I'm digging up my closet for clothes that I've never worn before or probably worn them once or twice because I'm planning to sell them off at really cheap prices. Do message me in my Facebook if you wanna know the website for it. The link for my Facebook page is one of the boxes on the right :) For now, I'll just show you some random pictures of my trip to Korea.

 The airport in Korea

 Our people

Yoido Full Gospel Church, biggest church in the world.

New Life Youth was invited to sing to an audience of 20 to 30,000. Yes, you've got that right

 The stage

That's us alright. Spot me in Maroon :)

The finale

Yummy food

The ice cream was so long and the weather was pretty hot for the Koreans that my ice cream melted. So the lady had to put my ice cream upside down to eat.

 At the King's palace.

At the borderline of North and South Korea. All the wishes and prayers of the people.

Last but not least, my shopping haul from Korea :)

Alright, that's it for now. Time to head off to work. More updates soon, I promise.
